Qualification and Experience

(i) Professor

For Broad Speciality Discipline: A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. MD/MS in concerned subject. Minimum 14 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the concerned subject.

For Super Speciality Discipline: M.Ch. for surgical super specialties and D.M. for medical super specialties with a minimum of 12 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the concerned subject.

(ii) Additional Professor

For Broad Speciality Discipline: A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. MD/MS in concerned subject. Minimum 10 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the concerned subject.

For Super Speciality Discipline: M.Ch. for surgical super specialties and D.M. for medical super specialties with a minimum of 08 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the concerned subject.

(iii) Associate Professor

For Broad Speciality Discipline: A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. MD/MS in concerned subject. Minimum 06 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the concerned subject.

For Super Speciality Discipline: M.Ch. for surgical super specialties and D.M. for medical super specialties with a minimum of 04 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the concerned subject.

(iv) Assistant Professor:

For Broad Speciality Discipline: A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. MD/MS in concerned subject. Minimum 03 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the concerned subject.

For Super Speciality Discipline: M.Ch. for surgical super specialties and D.M. for medical super specialties with a minimum of 01 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the concerned subject.

Pay Scale

Professor- PB-4 (Rs.37,400-67,000) with AGP of Rs.10,500
Additional Professor- PB-4 (Rs.37,400-67,000) with AGP of Rs.9,500
Associate Professor- PB-4 (Rs.37,400-67,000) with AGP of Rs.9,000
Assistant Professor- PB-3 (Rs.15, 600-39,100) with AGP of Rs.8,000

Application Fee

(i) GEN/OBC Category Candidates- Rs.3000/-
(ii) SC/ST/EWS/PH/Women Category Candidates- NIL (But if any candidate will apply for General Category Posts then he/she will need to pay the application fee)

The selection will be made on the basis of review of academic, research credentials including publications, academic awards, and research paper, presentation in conferences and Interview.
